The Lost Valley – Tahsish-Kwois Regional Park

Vancouver Island holds many treasures; some are among the most popular outdoor places in Canada, like the West Coast Trail. Others are just as magnificent but hidden because of difficult access. The result is often a pristine place, where everything is undisturbed, peaceful but strangely mysterious, Tahsish-Kwois is one of those places, like a lost Valley in the deepest inlet of Kyoqout Sound.
It is no mean feat to get to Tahsish-Kwois, first there are logging roads with their potholes and winding hairpins, 80km from Woss to the Artlish River. The only reasonable way into the park is by water and the easiest access to the water is by an abindoned logging camp near the Artlish river mouth.
